NerdWallet Small Business is seeking a Senior Account Executive to drive sales and provide exceptional service to small business customers seeking financing solutions. In this role, you will manage the complete sales cycle from initial outreach through deal closure, serving as a trusted advisor to business owners and a liaison between them and our lender network.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the full sales pipeline and consistently exceeding monthly sales targets
- Mastering NerdWallet's product suite and qualifying criteria to confidently advise business owners on loan options
- Conducting phone-based outreach and consultations with small business owners from diverse backgrounds
- Collaborating with lender partners to identify optimal funding opportunities and facilitate successful matches
- Performing in a fast-paced inside sales environment while maintaining strong KPI performance
- Responding effectively to challenging questions and adapting to evolving customer needs
The role is based in New York, NY with an in-office expectation to leverage daily collaboration and spontaneous learning opportunities on the sales floor. After completing training (typically months 4-6), you'll have flexibility to work remotely up to 20% of the month from anywhere in the continental US, provided you meet performance standards.
Compensation includes hourly pay plus monthly bonuses tied to sales goals, with potential for uncapped commission, sales milestone bonuses starting at $2,000, and eligibility for additional sales contests and incentive programs.
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of directly related sales experience (Account Executive or similar role)
- Proven ability to manage a sales pipeline with consistent performance against KPIs and sales metrics
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong multitasking and time-management abilities with autonomous work style
- Comfort engaging with business owners from all backgrounds and industries
- Resilience and adaptability in fast-paced, high-pressure sales conversations
- Coachability and ability to implement feedback immediately
- Thriving mindset in inside sales environments
