Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations Cloud, a platform enabling organizations dependent on physical operations to harness IoT data for actionable insights. The company serves industries representing over 40% of global GDP—agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing—helping digitally transform their operations at scale.
The Major Account Executive role is part of Samsara's Majors sales team, responsible for revenue growth in the company's largest prospective accounts. This is a full-cycle, enterprise sales position focused on developing executive-level relationships within strategic named accounts and owning customer engagements from prospecting through close.
Key responsibilities include: developing and nurturing C-level relationships in target accounts; executing end-to-end customer engagements with solution-based sales processes in complex campaigns; managing enterprise deal sizes ($500k+ ARR); conducting strategic outbound prospecting; and embedding Samsara's cultural principles (customer success focus, long-term thinking, growth mindset, inclusivity, team collaboration) as the company scales.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of full-cycle, closing sales experience with enterprise customers, a proven track record of consistent quota over-achievement in complex accounts, and demonstrated ability to handle C-level relationships. Strategic outbound prospecting comfort is essential. Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders (Operations, Finance, IT), prior sales awards (President's Club, Winner's Circle, Top 10%), and passion for the operations industry are valued. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments are required. The role demands curiosity about how businesses operate, willingness to learn complex sales processes, and ability to build genuine, trust-based relationships with customers in traditionally low-tech industries.
