ARX Robotics is seeking a Security Manager for Physical Security to lead the development and operation of physical security infrastructure across the company's offices and production facilities in Europe. Reporting to the Head of Security, you will combine strategic oversight with operational execution to build and scale a comprehensive physical security program that protects employees, facilities, and mission-critical autonomous defense systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee physical security across all offices and production sites, coordinating implementation with site leadership
- Design and implement technical, organizational, and personnel security measures including access control, CCTV, alarm systems, and intrusion detection
- Develop, manage, and continuously improve site security processes and standards
- Evaluate and manage external security service providers, ensuring effective delivery
- Plan and execute security concepts for company events, executive visits, and trade shows
- Coordinate protective measures for C-level executives and manage service provider coordination
- Commission and oversee site security assessments and audits, track remediation of vulnerabilities, and verify effectiveness
- Coordinate incident response and emergency procedures with site leadership and local authorities
- Develop scalable physical security standards and ensure implementation during facility expansion
Requirements:
- Multiple years of experience in physical security within a manufacturing company, ideally in KRITIS (critical infrastructure), defense, aviation security, or comparable sectors
- Formal qualification: Master of Protection and Security, Bachelor in Security Management, or equivalent. Career changers with comparable education and relevant certifications (Certified Security Manager, CSMP, CPP) are welcome
- First experience coordinating personal protection and travel security is advantageous
- Military service, security agency experience, or active reserve duty is beneficial
- Willingness to undergo government security clearance is required; existing clearances are advantageous
- Fluent German (written and spoken) is mandatory; secure English communication with colleagues required
- Readiness to travel regularly between domestic and international sites, including security-critical countries
- Strong communication skills, proactive approach, and ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
