The Channel & Customer Research (CCR) team delivers scalable primary research through structured interviews with distributors, resellers, suppliers, consultants, and other channel partners. Using AlphaSense's AI Interviewer technology, CCR conducts and scales expert interviews continuously, providing investors and corporate users with real-time insights into demand trends, competitive dynamics, and market conditions.
As Sector Lead for TMT – APAC, you will build and maintain AlphaSense's channel check coverage across TMT companies in the Asia-Pacific region, with particular focus on semiconductors and hardware. Reporting to the Head of Channel & Customer Research, you will oversee the development and execution of CCR projects, ensuring questionnaires, expert sourcebases, and research outputs meet quality and consistency standards.
Based in Singapore, you will combine deep sector expertise with research leadership to guide a team of analysts conducting structured channel checks across APAC-based TMT companies and value chains. Responsibilities include project setup, questionnaire development, expert sourcebase guidance, and research quality oversight. You will act as the connective layer between research strategy and day-to-day execution, helping expand coverage while maintaining strong understanding of semiconductor supply chains, hardware manufacturing dynamics, and technology adoption trends across the region.
You will also refine channel check frameworks, improve workflows, and partner with cross-functional teams to strengthen CCR's APAC TMT coverage. Singapore's position as a regional hub for semiconductor design, distribution, and technology investment provides an ideal base for building expert networks across Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, and Southeast Asia.
Required: 5–8 years in equity research, market intelligence, or related analytical roles with meaningful exposure to semiconductors, hardware, or TMT sectors, ideally covering APAC markets. Strong domain knowledge of semiconductor and hardware industries, including APAC-based companies, chip design and manufacturing ecosystems, component distribution channels, and key investment debates. Experience designing primary research frameworks and questionnaires that translate industry knowledge into structured, repeatable insights. Highly analytical and intellectually curious, capable of quickly developing expertise across new companies, subsectors, and technology value chains.
