Salary: USD 21.88 - 27.34 / hourly

Cortica, a rapidly growing healthcare company specializing in neurodevelopmental treatment for children, is seeking a Scheduling Care Coordinator to join its multi-disciplinary team in San Diego. You will work collaboratively with the Scheduling Care Supervisor and Regional Scheduling Manager to create optimal schedule plans and care coordination based on clinical recommendations. Key responsibilities include: - Developing and executing comprehensive care scheduling plans aligned with clinical guidelines - Creating optimal schedules based on received clinical recommendations - Identifying and resolving scheduling issues including fills, cancellations, conflicts, and EMR errors - Managing appointment cancellations and arranging substitute coverage per Scheduling Equity Guidelines - Providing scheduling updates to patients and therapists via email and instant communication - Processing therapist availability and PTO changes through the Scheduling Helpdesk - Placing pre-authorizations and submitting patient benefits cases - Managing high-volume communications (calls, emails, portal messages) and helpdesk tickets - Maintaining HIPAA compliance in all client communications - Setting priorities, managing time effectively, and meeting deadlines - Supporting special projects and administrative tasks as assigned - Maintaining schedule flexibility to cover evening shifts and weekends as needed The role emphasizes critical thinking, organizational skills, and collaborative problem-solving to optimize treatment delivery for Cortica clients. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree (preferred) - 2 years of scheduling experience in an office setting (preferred) - Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet applications - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, word processing, file management, and office terminology - Strong English language skills including grammar, composition, and spelling - Knowledge of customer service principles and quality standards - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient information safeguarding - Ability to occasionally stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl - Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
