Datadog is seeking a Sales Revenue Analyst to join its Revenue Operations & Finance team in New York or Boston. This role is critical to supporting Datadog's rapid growth by managing global sales commission calculations, revenue recognition, and sales operations analytics.
You will own the strategic development and optimization of monthly commission strategies across diverse business verticals, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. You'll lead cross-functional initiatives to scale Sales Revenue operations, collaborating with Sales Leadership, Finance, Growth, GTM, and Operations teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Spearheading commission strategy ownership and iterative refinement across verticals
- Designing and executing innovative solutions to enhance Sales Revenue operations efficiency
- Developing analytical frameworks to evaluate the business impact of compensation plans
- Conducting comprehensive analysis of the deal close process, reviewing deal structures, financial terms, and pricing
- Establishing robust reporting infrastructure for quota allocation, compensation, territory management, and performance monitoring
- Partnering with Strategy and Growth teams on scalable sales compensation structures aligned with board-level objectives
- Building technical expertise in Salesforce, Tableau, CaptivateIQ, Jira, Clari, and Confluence
- Collaborating with senior leadership to design and operationalize transformative sales strategy programs
- Contributing to strategic planning and process improvement for revenue and CRM dashboards
You bring 2-4 years of experience in revenue operations, sales operations, FP&A, business analysis, or consulting. You have advanced Excel skills for managing large datasets, exceptional communication abilities, and a solid understanding of SaaS business models and recurring revenue dynamics. You demonstrate strategic thinking, strong problem-solving skills, and proven capability in project ownership and cross-functional collaboration. Experience with compensation automation tools is a plus.
