Jobber is a B2B SaaS platform helping small home service businesses (plumbers, painters, landscapers) manage quoting, scheduling, invoicing, and payments. The company has been recognized by Great Place to Work and named to Deloitte Canada's Technology Fast 50 and Globe and Mail's Canada's Top Growing Companies.
As a Sales Operations Manager, you'll be an individual contributor partner to Jobber's Sales organization, supporting an assigned sales channel or priority area. You'll work at the intersection of sales strategy and operational execution, identifying friction points and turning business problems into practical solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
**Sales Partnership & Thought Leadership**: Act as the primary Sales Operations partner for an assigned channel, serving as a trusted advisor to channel leaders. Build deep understanding of channel goals and performance drivers, proactively identify operational opportunities, and make strategic recommendations on optimization and priority sequencing.
**Problem Diagnosis & Recommendation**: Investigate operational problems through stakeholder input, workflow review, and data analysis. Separate immediate requests from underlying problems, build fact bases with operational and performance data, and design practical improvements that increase efficiency and scalability.
**Project & Workstream Delivery**: Lead channel projects from discovery through execution, rollout, and measurement. Translate business problems into clear requirements, project plans, and success measures. Develop rollout plans including communication, training, and post-launch support.
**Stakeholder Partnership**: Deliver executive-ready updates on project status, risks, and decisions. Facilitate discovery sessions and working meetings. Partner with RevTech, Enablement, Sales Planning, Finance, Analytics, and Sales teams. Define success measures and monitor adoption, process health, and business impact.
You'll identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to workflows and build repeatable solutions that reduce operational effort.
**Requirements**:
- 3–5 years of experience, ideally in management consulting, tech, strategy, or business/revenue operations roles with client- or stakeholder-facing workstream leadership
- Structured problem-solving ability: break ambiguous business problems into hypotheses, test with data and interviews, land on clear recommendations
- Executive-ready communication: crisp written recommendations, decision memos, ability to facilitate leadership discussions
- Strong project ownership and follow-through from discovery through delivery and measurement
- Ability to act as trusted advisor to leaders with clear point of view on operational decisions
- Strong operational judgment: know when to decide independently vs. escalate
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, organization, and follow-through
- Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to workflows
**Nice to Have**:
- Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or go-to-market/strategic operations experience
- Support for various sales channels (Inbound, Outbound, Account Management, Channel Partnerships)
- Salesforce and sales technology platform familiarity
- System implementation, process redesign, UAT, or operational rollout experience
- Exposure to sales planning, forecasting, routing, pipeline management, compensation, or performance reporting
