NerdWallet Small Business is seeking a Sales Manager to lead and develop a team of 6–8 Account Executives in New York. This is a people-management role focused on building a high-performing sales organization within the fintech/SMB lending space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train, motivate, and manage a team of 6–8 Account Executives, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
- Develop and implement coaching strategies through team meetings and 1:1s to help reps grow skills and confidence.
- Shadow phone interactions and analyze sales pipeline data to identify performance improvement opportunities.
- Operate with a data-driven mindset in a metrics-heavy environment, using insights to inform strategy.
- Create an environment where team members contribute ideas and think creatively.
- Partner cross-functionally with other teams to align goals and execute sales strategies.
- Take an active role in identifying, attracting, and recruiting top sales talent.
- Embrace strategic projects that contribute to broader business goals.
Required Experience:
- 2+ years managing a team of at least 4 Account Executives.
- Proven track record in quota-carrying sales roles.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop Account Executives across experience levels.
- Experience in transactional sales with high-volume outbound activity.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret performance data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally and building relationships.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt in change-heavy environments.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce.
- FinTech, SMB, or lending experience is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary $100K–$150K with OTE of $140K–$190K.
