The Sales Manager role is based at Kasa's downtown Los Angeles property and is fully on-site with no remote or hybrid option. This position focuses on driving corporate and group business for Kasa's properties within the Los Angeles market, targeting all market segments including business transient, groups, social events, and others, with emphasis on weekday production and revenue generation during shoulder and off-season periods.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing account and industry-focused action plans
- Implementing sales management processes to identify and prioritize key customers and prospects
- Developing and sustaining long-term relationships with corporate and group customers
- Identifying regional conferences, meetings, and events to secure room share for Kasa properties
- Partnering with the Revenue Management team to ensure competitive group rates
- Producing detailed group resumes and liaising with operations teams to ensure group needs are met during stays
- Participating in company-wide meetings and collaborating with cross-functional teams
The Sales Manager will work closely with Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management teams, as well as interact directly with property partners. Success in this role means building a strong portfolio of corporate and group partners, establishing a structured and repeatable sales process, improving property salability in the region, and becoming a respected thought partner within the Kasa leadership team.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of sales experience in the hospitality space, with focus on corporate and extended stay segments
- Broad and comprehensive knowledge of group and business travel segments, including extended-stay business
- Proven ability to negotiate and close deals with accounts of all sizes and from all industries
- Data-driven and influential leadership with vision and ability to communicate with cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong emotional intelligence and empathy with guests, clients, and operating team members
- Passion for hospitality industry and providing amazing guest experiences
Plus if:
- Previous hotel sales experience in Los Angeles market
- Working knowledge and understanding of hotel revenue management
