Scarlet is a medical device certification platform that combines clinical, technical, and regulatory expertise with AI agents and software to accelerate certification timelines for AI-enabled medical devices. The company works with ambitious technology companies to cut a year or more from certification timelines and shorten product-update cycles from months to weeks.
As Sales Manager, you will lead a team of Account Executives based in London while maintaining your own quota. You own your team's quarterly revenue target and the pipeline behind it. Your personal quota will reduce as the team grows, allowing you to stay close to customers and lead from live deals. The sales role is highly technical—you are selling medical device certification (EU MDR, ISO 13485, and related standards) to regulatory, quality, and clinical leaders at AI and software medical device companies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning team quarterly targets and forecasts; running weekly pipeline reviews and deal inspections
- Coaching Account Executives on discovery, negotiation, decision-maker mapping, budget qualification, and closing
- Hiring and onboarding new Account Executives to scale the team
- Sourcing, running, and closing your own deals with regulatory and clinical leaders
- Documenting deal learnings and improving the sales playbook
- Collaborating with Business Development Reps and Commercial Relations on pipeline generation
- Representing Scarlet at industry conferences (MEDICA, RSNA) and company-hosted events
You will work day-to-day with the leadership team and be in front of customers across the UK and Europe. This is a full-time, in-office role in London.
**Requirements:**
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience, including at least 3 years as a quota-carrying Account Executive owning full-cycle deals
- At least 1 year managing or formally leading quota-carrying salespeople with responsibility for their targets
- Track record of hitting or exceeding quota as an individual contributor, including in the year before moving into management
- Experience hiring salespeople (screening, interviewing, making hiring decisions)
- Experience selling technical or expertise-led products to specialist buyers with deal cycles of 3+ months and multiple stakeholders
- Experience running pipeline reviews and forecasting team/territory numbers to senior leadership
- Demonstrated ability to coach underperforming Account Executives back to target
- Based in or willing to relocate to London with right to work in the UK
**Preferred qualifications:**
- STEM degree or equivalent technical background
- Experience selling to regulated industries
- Experience as an early sales hire or first sales manager at a startup
- Experience selling into European markets outside the UK
