In this role, you'll own the technical side of client relationships throughout the entire sales lifecycle—from initial contact through solutioning, integration, and go-live. You'll be the bridge between our commercial team and clients, translating complex payment technology into business value. Your responsibilities include: • Partner with Account Executives to position Checkout.com's products, solutions, and services; help win deals through technical excellence • Understand merchant requirements and map them to our APIs and products; create solution designs and documentation • Deliver product demos, build payment flow prototypes, create POCs, and customize presentations • Provide thought leadership on payment performance topics: acceptance rates, fraud prevention, tokenization, payment methods • Lead technical interactions with merchants across calls, meetings, and workshops • Support RFP/RFI responses and bid management • Champion product feedback from the market back to internal teams • Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and payment technology trends • Become an expert on Checkout.com's platform and capabilities You'll need 1–3 years in a technical client-facing role (Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales Consultant, Implementation Engineer, or TAM). Strong fluency in English and Spanish is essential; French or German is a plus. You should be comfortable with REST/JSON APIs, Postman, and at least one front-end (JavaScript, React, Angular) and back-end (Java, .NET, Python, Node) technology. Payments industry knowledge—including 3DS, network tokenization, Apple/Google Pay, open banking, and fraud-risk engines—is highly valued. Experience with PSD2/PSD3/PSR and ISO-8583 is a nice-to-have. A background in engineering, product management, or e-commerce is a plus.
