Warp is building an agentic development environment and orchestration platform for running cloud agents in parallel. The company has evolved from a terminal tool into a full development workbench, with products including Warp (the IDE-like environment) and Warp Factories (infrastructure for engineering teams to build and run cloud software factories). Warp has over 1 million active developers at companies including Docker, Ramp, and Peloton, with revenue that grew 44x last year.
You will join the sales engineering team as a primary technical lead for enterprise deals, working alongside account executives and sales leadership to help engineering organizations evaluate, adopt, and expand Factories. Your responsibilities span three core areas:
Technical Sales: Run technical discovery, demos, and deep-dives with engineering leaders, platform teams, and developers. Work through security reviews, compliance questionnaires, and architecture questions to unblock Factories adoption in enterprise environments. Build and refine the technical sales playbook, including demo environments, POC frameworks, and reusable collateral.
Proof of Value: Scope and lead POCs and pilots that demonstrate measurable impact in customers' own codebases and workflows. Help customers configure Factories for their environment, including agent workflows, model and harness choices, integrations, and self-hosted or bring-your-own LLM setups. Define success criteria and build business cases around automation rate, SDLC velocity, cost-to-quality tradeoffs, and time saved. Handle technical implementation and onboarding to achieve quick technical wins.
Customer Insight: Serve as the voice of the customer for product and engineering, surfacing patterns from enterprise evaluations that shape the roadmap.
Warp is defining a new category still being invented. Buyers are asking novel questions about automation rates, ROI on agents, and cost per merged PR. You'll help shape how the industry answers these questions and build the technical sales playbook for Factories.
Requirements:
- 6+ years in sales engineering, solutions engineering, or technical customer-facing roles
- Experience selling and implementing technical SaaS, ideally developer tools, DevOps, infrastructure, or AI products
- Software engineering background: ability to read codebases, debug integrations, and go deep on technical challenges
- Hands-on experience with AI coding agents and LLMs, with informed perspective on where agents work well and where they don't
- Experience leading POCs and navigating enterprise security and compliance reviews
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to engineers, engineering leaders, and non-technical stakeholders
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple technical evaluations simultaneously
- Comfortable building processes at an early-stage startup where playbooks are still being written
- Integration of AI into daily workflows; Warp leans heavily on agents to accelerate work
Bonus qualifications:
- Experience bringing new product categories to market
- Experience selling into platform engineering or developer productivity teams
- Experience building agentic workflows that automate processes in large enterprise environments
