Salary: USD 160,000 - 238,000 / annual
Hologram is building the backbone of IoT connectivity, processing over 5 billion transactions monthly across global infrastructure. The Sales Engineer role is a customer-facing, pre-sales position reporting to the VP of Sales, responsible for leading the technical side of the sales process in partnership with Account Executives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead technical pre-sales relationships by providing architecture guidance, demonstrating the Hologram platform (Dashboard, APIs), resolving technical concerns, and building customer confidence
- Serve as subject matter expert on Hologram's full product suite, communicating technical value propositions around connectivity, device management, and integration
- Provide end-to-end IoT expertise including hardware selection, embedded systems architecture, product design, and device certification guidance
- Drive resolution of technical issues during pre-sales, testing, and pilot phases
- Stay current on IoT technologies and industry trends
Required qualifications:
- Hands-on experience building and deploying embedded systems or IoT devices
- Deep expertise in cellular connectivity, certifications, AT commands, radio modules, and modems
- Background in IoT professional services or consulting advising on product development
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, UDP protocols, and networking principles
- Track record selling complex technical products (networking, embedded systems, APIs, data products)
- Comfort with enterprise technical sales cycles, stakeholder management, and project planning
- API implementation and integration proficiency
- Working knowledge of Python or Ruby scripting
- SQL querying ability for troubleshooting
- Ability to work US East Coast hours consistently
