You will design and run training programs for Upgrade's Home Improvement sales team, keeping reps sharp, confident, and equipped to help contractors grow their business. This role combines curriculum development, direct coaching, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the sales team always has the knowledge and tools needed to succeed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, build, and continuously improve training and certification programs for the sales team
- Lead new hire onboarding, including structured onboarding cycles
- Plan and facilitate weekly team-wide learning sessions covering product updates, market trends, and skill-building
- Coach individual reps on sales technique, product knowledge, and financing concepts
- Partner cross-functionally with Underwriting, Risk, Merchant Support, and Product teams to keep training current and accurate
- Build and run the summer internship program
- Own other projects as assigned
This role is ideal for someone who loves building structured learning experiences and excels at translating complex, technical material into training that sticks. You'll work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities while supporting a growing sales organization.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years of experience in education, sales enablement, or corporate training
- Teaching or classroom instruction background (preferred)
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills; comfortable leading a room
- Ability to translate technical or financial concepts into clear, practical training
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Sales, Risk, Product, and Support teams
- Experience in fintech, lending, or financial services (preferred but not required)
