CarOnSale is an AI-powered B2B used-car trading platform operating across Europe, connecting over 40,000 buyers from 20+ countries with exclusive inventory. The company combines software, pricing intelligence, logistics, and financing into a unified operating system for the automotive industry.
You will own the end-to-end design and execution of the CarOnSale Sales Academy, transforming it from foundational training into a measurable, scalable system. Your mandate comes directly from leadership, and your success will be measured by concrete business outcomes: ramp time, win rate, and quota attainment—not participant counts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and governing the Academy from competency modeling through program delivery
- Designing onboarding programs that accelerate time-to-productivity for new sales reps and managers
- Translating product launches into field-ready talk tracks and battle cards
- Delivering training through live sessions, on-demand modules, and on-the-job coaching, leveraging AI tools
- Coaching managers to become effective coaches and demonstrating impact through hard KPIs
- Managing 25% field time across Germany and Austria to ensure training translates to real performance
The role is hybrid: 3 days in the Berlin office, 2 days remote, plus 10 days "work from anywhere" annually. You'll work closely with leadership, product, and operations to maintain clear priorities and drive alignment.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years in sales enablement, sales training, or L&D, with at least 2 years in a scale-up, SaaS, or platform environment
- Proven track record: you must have built and currently operate an enablement or onboarding program
- Direct sales experience, ideally in field sales with quota responsibility
- Ability to align leadership, product, and operations teams around enablement priorities
- Active proficiency with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) in daily work
- German language at C2 level, English at minimum B2; willingness to travel to field regions
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in automotive or marketplace industries
- Hands-on practice with MEDDPICC, Challenger, or SPIN methodologies
- Experience managing trainers or L&D professionals
