Ramp is building smart infrastructure for finance teams, automating how over $200B in annualized spend flows through 70,000+ companies. The company handles payment authorization, risk flagging, spend categorization, and financial close processes. Ramp customers save 5% on costs and grow revenue 16% in their first year. In this Strategic Accounts SDR role, you will help build Ramp's strategic account motion by sourcing deals, making introductions, and progressing sales opportunities through the pipeline. You'll own a named book of Strategic Enterprise accounts (5,000+ employees), building durable coverage and pipeline across a smaller, higher-value set of accounts. Key responsibilities include: - Developing account plans with Account Executives: prioritizing accounts, mapping buying groups, identifying "why now" moments, and aligning on engagement paths - Researching and engaging finance leaders through personalized, multi-channel outreach; qualifying prospects via consultative discovery - Coordinating with AEs, Marketing, Partnerships, and Events to leverage warm introductions, executive programs, and customer stories - Using AI tools thoughtfully to strengthen research, prioritization, and personalization—validating outputs before deployment - Maintaining accurate prospect and activity data in Salesforce; using performance data to improve outreach quality - Operating independently in an evolving motion, creating structure, managing ambiguity, and raising issues early Ramp values high agency, high urgency, and slope over intercept. The company hires builders who own problems end-to-end and make consequential decisions. REQUIREMENTS: - Proven SDR/BDR, closing, or equivalent quota-carrying experience with measurable evidence of attainment or overachievement - Experience working a named-account or account-based motion—prioritizing accounts and tailoring outreach to senior or complex buyers - Proven ability to partner with Account Executives on account strategy, meeting prep, and deal progression - Strong discovery, objection-handling, and written/verbal communication skills - Builder mindset: diagnose results, form a point of view, adapt, and turn what works into repeatable practice - Ability to operate independently in an evolving motion—creating structure, managing ambiguity, and raising issues early - Interest in building a long-term sales career and taking on the scope of a Strategic SDR role NICE TO HAVES: - Experience selling into large, complex, or enterprise organizations with multiple stakeholders and longer buying cycles - Experience selling into finance, accounting, or operations teams, or familiarity with finance workflows (expense, AP, procurement, ERPs) - Familiarity with Salesforce, sales engagement platforms, or account research/intent tools - Prior experience scaling a new team or motion, or working with partner ecosystems and field events
