UpCodes is a YC-backed (S17) compliance and product research platform trusted by 800,000 monthly active users. The platform accelerates design-to-construction workflows in the AEC (architecture, engineering, construction) space by helping designers and builders quickly find compliance and product resources, reducing costly rework and project delays.
The company has grown rapidly through strong product-led momentum but is now building out its sales organization. You'll join as a Sales Development Representative, playing a central role in establishing the outbound go-to-market motion.
In this role, you'll identify and prospect potential customers across the AEC industry, execute multi-channel outbound campaigns (email, phone, LinkedIn), and qualify inbound and outbound leads. You'll manage leads through the pipeline, conduct discovery conversations, and coordinate handoffs to Account Executives to ensure they have full context for successful meetings. You'll work closely with the AE team and broader sales organization, learning the full outbound motion while developing the commercial judgment and skills needed to grow into an AE role over time.
This is an opportunity to build sales processes from the ground up at a product-driven company solving a real problem in a massive industry. You'll have direct exposure to customer needs, product strategy, and go-to-market execution.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1–2 years of SDR/BDR experience
- Background in customer-facing or sales roles, with exposure to CRM platforms (preferred)
- Strong desire and willingness to learn and adapt as product and processes evolve
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven track record of consistently exceeding goals and being a top performer in past roles
- Hustling mentality; willingness to tackle tasks of any size
- Down-to-earth personality with a good sense of humor
