Inspira Education Group is a fast-growing edtech startup backed by leading VCs including Zeev Ventures, Quiet Capital, Craft Ventures, and Jeff Fluhr (Founder of StubHub). The company operates the world's leading network of top admissions coaches in medical, legal, business, and college studies, combining software and services to democratize access to high-quality coaching and disrupt traditional application processes.
This role carries the SDR title but functions as a talent pipeline builder rather than a traditional sales position. You will work directly with the founders to identify, evaluate, and bring on people for key roles across the company. The core responsibilities involve applying SDR-style prospecting and outreach skills to talent acquisition instead of sales prospects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working directly with founders to build and maintain a candidate pipeline for open roles
- Researching and identifying prospective candidates using LinkedIn and other sourcing tools
- Writing and sending personalized outreach messaging to engage candidates and build relationships
- Tracking and managing pipeline activity and candidate status in the ATS
- Refining sourcing approaches based on what resonates with different candidate types
- Taking on ad hoc projects as priorities shift
This is an ideal fit for someone early in their career who is high-energy, eager to learn, and wants more responsibility than a typical SDR seat offers. You'll gain rare, direct exposure to how a startup founder team thinks about hiring—which roles matter most, what makes a strong candidate, and how to build relationships with people before they're ready to make a move.
The role requires in-office attendance 5 days a week at the NYC Gramercy office.
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience as an SDR or in a comparable outbound/prospecting role
- High energy, strong work ethic, and genuine willingness to learn a new skill set outside the traditional SDR path
- Comfortable with high-volume outreach and consistent follow-up
- Strong written communication skills; ability to write compelling, personalized messages quickly
- Organized and detail-oriented; able to manage a large, active pipeline without things falling through the cracks
- Excited to work closely with founders and take on real responsibility early in your career
