OpenAI is seeking a Head of Talent Experience & Enablement to own the integrated talent-attraction and experience strategy as the company scales rapidly. This senior individual contributor role serves as a strategic hub connecting employer brand, candidate experience, recruitment marketing, and recruiting enablement.
The role is accountable for developing and executing a cohesive talent strategy that aligns three critical inputs: what top talent wants, what the competitive market offers, and what employees authentically experience at OpenAI. You will set shared priorities and measures of success across functions, resolve cross-functional dependencies, and build scalable frameworks that enable functional leaders to deliver against the strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop a data-backed employer narrative grounded in OpenAI's culture, values, and operating principles, tailored to priority talent audiences through research and insights.
- Connect programs across recruiting and people functions through a candidate and employee lens, pressure-testing how initiatives work together to ensure cohesive design.
- Ensure core messaging is consistent and accessible across key audiences—aligning campaigns, candidate communications, and interview touchpoints so recruiters, hiring managers, and interviewers have necessary context.
- Serve as recruiting's point of contact with communications during emerging issues and fast-moving news, coordinating timely external guidance.
- Own repeatable systems that convert candidate feedback, employee insights, and market intelligence into prioritized changes to recruiting strategy, messaging, and enablement.
- Define and resolve cross-functional priorities and trade-offs within the role's remit, setting measures of success for employer positioning, candidate experience health, and recruiting enablement adoption.
The role reports to the Head of Recruiting and works in close partnership with People, Global Affairs, Marketing, Brand Strategy, and Communications. Functional leaders retain day-to-day execution accountability; this role is accountable for the effectiveness of the integrated approach.
