AngelList Venture is building the financial infrastructure for private markets—exchanges, custodians, brokers, and platforms that enable ordinary people to invest in private companies. With $200B+ in assets under management and 30,000+ startups funded on the platform, AngelList is scaling the institutional systems that public markets took a century to build.
As a Sales Development Representative, you will own the full qualification funnel for inbound and outbound prospects. Your core responsibilities include running early discovery calls that uncover genuine business needs, qualifying leads with speed and rigor, and setting Account Executives up for successful closes. You will design and iterate on the qualification framework—defining the questions, signals, and criteria that determine deal progression. You'll build and manage the SDR tech stack, including sequencing tools, scoring models, and AI-assisted workflows. You'll track pipeline quality metrics and partner with marketing to make lead quality a shared measure across the entire funnel. Critically, you'll shape how this function scales; the processes and systems you build will define how the sales organization grows.
This is a high-agency role in a 200-person company where titles are suggestions and impact is direct. You'll work on a problem that matters—democratizing access to private market investments—with unusual autonomy to define how your function operates.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1–2 years of experience prospecting in an SDR, BDR, or adjacent sales role, with owned pipeline targets
- Demonstrated success selling into larger organizations where multiple stakeholders must approve
- Proven ability to write cold outreach that generates responses
- Track record of using funnel data to optimize time allocation and prospecting strategy
- Experience building processes from scratch and using AI or automation to eliminate manual work
- Strong written communication skills; ability to align internal teams around ideas in writing
- Bonus: Familiarity with private markets, GPs, institutional LPs, or alternative assets
