Day-to-day responsibilities include: owning sales compensation administration for assigned teams—executing accurate, on-time commission calculations, payment processing, crediting, draws, clawbacks, and dispute resolution each pay cycle; serving as the Xactly platform owner and subject matter expert, defining configuration standards and maintaining data integrity; delivering monthly reporting and analytics including attainment summaries and payout forecasts to Sales, Finance, and Rev Ops; contributing to plan design for assigned segments through rate validation, accelerator analysis, and financial modeling; documenting and improving compensation processes while maintaining compliance with internal standards and accounting rules; leading cross-functional initiatives spanning Sales, Finance, HR, and Rev Ops; and leveraging AI tools to automate repetitive tasks and surface insights.

This is a small, high-impact team with outsized visibility—the work touches every quota-carrying role and directly influences how Gusto attracts and retains top sales talent.
Required qualifications: 8+ years of hands-on sales compensation administration experience with demonstrated end-to-end ownership of commission processes in a high-growth environment; full-cycle compensation administration experience including calculations, crediting, draws, clawbacks, and dispute resolution; proficiency with compensation software platforms (Xactly preferred); strong analytical and financial modeling skills; and ability to operate with high autonomy while collaborating cross-functionally. The role expects active engagement with AI tools and growing fluency as technology evolves.
