Lab37 Robotics is a technology company developing and deploying robots for direct-to-customer food production. As Robotics Product Manager, you will own the vision, strategy, and detailed product requirements for one or more robotic systems, translating customer insights and business goals into clear, prioritized roadmaps and product requirements that guide engineering and design.
Key responsibilities include crafting and refining a multi-year product roadmap grounded in data-driven market research, competitive analysis, and strategic goals. You will author and maintain product artifacts including PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics. You'll lead qualitative and quantitative research alongside engineering to generate requirements and prioritize solution concepts.
You will own end-to-end release management—prioritization, validation, launch readiness, and post-launch iteration to hit schedule, budget, and quality goals. You'll drive external pilots with scope definition, onboarding, and rollout, serving as the primary customer interface during early deployments. Facilitating cross-functional execution and collaboration among mechanical, electrical, software, culinary, manufacturing, and commercial teams is essential; you'll surface trade-offs and unblock decisions.
You will define, monitor, and analyze KPIs spanning system performance and business outcomes, building dashboards and reports that power data-driven decisions. You'll translate insights into compelling narratives for executives, investors, customers, and partners through roadmaps, presentations, and live demos.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or related field; 3+ years relevant work experience with 3+ years in robotics, automation, industrial hardware/software systems, or similar domains. You must have a proven track record turning ambiguous customer problems into shipped products with measurable impact, a highly analytical mindset comfortable with telemetry and financial data, strong systems-thinking ability across mechanics, electronics, firmware, cloud services, and UX, and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable skills include experience with food-service equipment, NSF/UL compliance, or safety-critical electromechanical systems; expertise in data analytics, machine learning, or advanced perception systems for autonomous robotics; working knowledge of design for manufacturing, regulatory approvals, and connected edge-IoT device ecosystems; and competence in financial modeling and pricing strategy.
The role is based in Pittsburgh with five-day-per-week onsite work. Base salary: $165,000–$195,000 per year.
