Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, is seeking a Risk Analyst to join its Risk Management team. This role focuses on fraud prevention and compliance within the card payment and onboarding ecosystem.
You will use rules-based systems, machine learning models, and AI tools to detect and prevent fraudulent activities across two key areas: (1) onboarding processes for new users and (2) existing user account activities. Your responsibilities include analyzing transaction patterns, identifying suspicious behavior, and implementing preventive measures to protect platform integrity.
A core part of this role involves leveraging risk team data insights to support compliance initiatives, working closely with the Compliance and Transaction Monitoring teams to align on fraud prevention scope and direction. You will contribute to KYC (Know Your Customer) regulatory compliance efforts and help safeguard user assets.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working with SQL to query and analyze large datasets. You should have a strong understanding of fraud patterns, regulatory requirements, and risk management principles. Experience with ML models or rule-based detection systems is valuable. You will work in a fast-paced environment protecting a platform trusted by 300+ million users across 100+ countries.
