Salary: USD 101,000 - 119,000 / annual

Boulevard is a client experience platform for appointment-based self-care businesses (salons, spas, medspa, barbershops). The company processes over $3B annually in integrated payments and is growing its payments business rapidly. As a Risk Analyst II, you will be responsible for reviewing and approving merchant applications, monitoring customer transactions for compliance and fraud risk, and handling payments-related escalations. Your core responsibilities include: • Conduct comprehensive merchant application reviews covering Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance requirements • Review and analyze flagged transactions and alerts, making well-reasoned recommendations aligned with payments processing standards • Assist in developing and enhancing fraud detection and risk management systems and tools • Review merchant transaction history to assess risk levels and recommend approval decisions for payment processing limits • Manage inquiries and requests from customers, partners, and internal teams • Collaborate with Onboarding, Customer Support, and external payment processing partners You will work autonomously in a fully remote, digitally connected environment, conducting merchant reviews to ensure compliance with internal policies, processor guidelines, card brand rules, and federal regulations. You'll also make recommendations for process improvements to streamline underwriting and enhance the merchant experience. REQUIREMENTS: • High School Diploma minimum; Bachelor's degree preferred • 3–7 years of experience in the payment industry, with focus on underwriting, transaction monitoring, customer support, and/or fraud/risk management • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/Google, especially Excel/Sheets • Familiarity with merchant processing platforms and applications • Knowledge of card brand rules and regulations (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) • Awareness of PCI compliance requirements • Ability to read and understand credit card processing statements • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and research capabilities • Ability to research complex merchant issues and communicate findings clearly • Comfortable contacting customers directly via email or phone to review application details • SQL, Tableau, or Sigma experience is a plus • Autonomous work ethic and comfort in a digitally connected environment
