Salary: USD 135,000 - 160,000 / annual
Allocate is building an operating system for private markets, providing wealth advisors, family offices, and qualified individuals streamlined access to institutional-quality venture capital, private equity, and private credit funds. The company has scaled to over $5 billion in assets on platform, serving 550+ wealth advisory firms and institutional family offices.
The Revenue Manager will own the complete revenue recognition and billing operations function for this fast-scaling fintech platform. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role reporting directly to the Controller with significant ownership across the finance function.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end revenue recognition process management in accordance with ASC 606, including contract review, deferred revenue schedules, and revenue journal entries
- Complete billing lifecycle management from contract and order through invoicing, ensuring accuracy across Salesforce and downstream billing systems
- Partnership with RevOps and Engineering to build and maintain clean, well-structured revenue and billing data across databases and systems of record
- Design and implementation of scalable billing processes and controls to support growing transaction volume and evolving product structures
- Revenue-related account reconciliations (deferred revenue, accounts receivable, unbilled revenue) and monthly/quarterly close ownership
- Cross-functional partnership with Sales, Legal, and Product on new contract structures and revenue treatment
- Identification and implementation of automation opportunities to reduce manual work as volume scales
- Support for first external audit preparation, including schedules and policy documentation
- Technical accounting research and memo preparation for complex revenue arrangements
- Close partnership with Controller on ERP implementation for multiple entity structure
Ideal candidates bring 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with focus on revenue recognition and billing, ideally in SaaS or fintech. CPA preferred. Must have solid ASC 606 knowledge, hands-on Salesforce experience, and comfort with SQL and database work. Prior people management experience or readiness to take on team leadership as the function grows is important. Fund accounting experience is a plus.
