Oura is seeking a Revenue Accounting Manager to lead and develop the Revenue & O2C Accounting team while owning key revenue accounting processes for the company's growing retail business. This role combines people leadership with hands-on accounting expertise, requiring the manager to lead, coach, and develop team members while supporting monthly and quarterly close activities for retail revenue areas.
Key responsibilities include leading the Revenue Accounting team by setting priorities, providing feedback, and fostering a high-performing culture. You will own and support close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis for assigned retail revenue areas. The role requires recording and analyzing accruals, reserves, deferred revenue, and AR-related entries in accordance with ASC 606 guidance.
A critical component involves partnering with Technical Accounting to assess ASC 606 implications and ensure accounting conclusions are applied consistently across retail programs and promotions. You will translate complex accounting guidance into clear process steps and practical business requirements that the team can execute consistently. As new retailers and distribution partners are onboarded, you will help stand up scalable accounting processes, including transaction flow reviews, ERP setup validation, and close readiness assessments.
You will also drive process improvements by identifying gaps, investigating root causes, and implementing solutions that increase accuracy and efficiency across retail revenue accounting workflows. This includes maintaining SOPs, process documentation, and supporting materials that enable strong controls and audit readiness.
Required qualifications include 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with direct revenue accounting and ASC 606 expertise (public accounting and industry experience preferred), at least 2 years of direct people-management experience, demonstrated leadership of accounting team execution, retail accounting experience including retailer reconciliations and deductions, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
