Figma is seeking a senior researcher to drive strategic research and product innovation for Figma Design, the company's core platform used by top-tier software companies worldwide. You will partner closely with product, design, and engineering leaders to identify high-impact opportunities, develop research strategies, and influence both short-term and long-term company direction.
Key responsibilities include delivering strategic research recommendations that materially influence Figma Design's vision and roadmap; collaborating with product leaders to identify opportunities and define success metrics; breaking down complex business challenges into clear, actionable research plans; and demonstrating strong storytelling skills to drive significant business impact. You will advocate for research as a strategic business partner and use your product mindset to influence product decisions.
The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of UX research or user insights experience at high-growth B2B SaaS companies. You should have deep expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, with a proven ability to identify critical assumptions, design right-sized research approaches, and gain consensus from executive and cross-functional partners. Experience with AI-powered features or AI applications is valued. Additional strengths include 2+ years in product design, product management, engineering, or front-end development, and familiarity with Figma's products.
This is a full-time role based in San Francisco or New York, with remote work options available within the United States.
