Precision for Medicine is seeking a Research Scientist to join its Evidence Synthesis and Decision Modelling team. This role focuses on health economic and outcomes research (HEOR) supporting pharmaceutical and biotech clients.
You will contribute to diverse projects including cost-effectiveness analyses, budget impact analyses for health technology assessment (HTA) submissions, early economic analyses, treatment sequencing analyses, and generalized cost-effectiveness analyses incorporating novel value elements. Working alongside health economists, statisticians, and researchers, you will perform targeted literature reviews to identify model inputs and methodologies from previous HTAs, conceptualize cost-effectiveness and budget impact model designs, and program, parameterize, and validate economic models using Excel and potentially R.
Key responsibilities include conducting analyses, interpreting findings, and communicating results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will develop client-ready deliverables such as model protocols, economic models, presentations, technical reports, and peer-reviewed publications under senior guidance. You will assist with project delivery by collaborating with team members, ensuring quality outputs, and flagging timeline changes. Client management duties include preparing slides for meetings, drafting meeting minutes, and supporting senior team members in client communications.
Required qualifications: 2–4 years of professional experience, ideally in consulting serving pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare clients with an HEOR focus. Master's degree in health economics, public policy, health policy, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, or related science. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Helpful experience includes a PhD in related fields, proficiency in R/R Shiny, and a track record of peer-reviewed publications. The role offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a well-funded, established global organization, with opportunities to tackle complex methodological challenges and grow within a high-performing team.
