Axios Pro Deals is seeking an experienced M&A reporter to join its subscription news service. You will cover mergers, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and hostile takeovers for a highly engaged audience of dealmakers and financial professionals. Your role is to break news, develop exclusive scoops, and explain complex M&A transactions in clear, compelling language tailored to Axios' reader-first format.
You will be well-sourced across investment banks, law firms, advisers, and the broader M&A ecosystem. Beyond traditional reporting, you'll amplify your impact through appearances in national newsletters, television, radio, podcasts, and social media. You'll also have opportunities to drive news at industry conferences and build your personal brand within the dealmaking community.
Axios Pro Deals operates as a collaborative team of journalists focused on delivering essential news to the dealmaking community. You'll work in a fast-paced, high-pressure news environment where spotting top story ideas, crafting conceptual pieces, and driving conversation with trend analysis are core responsibilities.
