Salary: USD 19 - 21 / hourly
Jerry is an insurance tech startup building an AI-powered app to help customers manage their car and home insurance, repairs, financing, and maintenance in one place. This Inside Sales Associate role is part of the Customer Operations team and offers a dual-track career path: you can develop into either sales or service based on your strengths, determined during the interview process.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling inbound calls from customers shopping for auto, home, motorcycle, and other insurance policies, as well as from existing policyholders needing changes or support
- Developing deep product knowledge across a large panel of insurance companies to match customers with the right coverage
- Identifying customer needs proactively—spotting coverage gaps, qualifying discounts, and flagging upcoming renewals
- Processing service requests including vehicle, driver, and policy document updates
- Problem-solving to remove barriers between customers and appropriate coverage
- Providing direct feedback to the product team; the company has a short feedback loop and ships suggestions regularly
The work is fast-paced, high-energy, and team-oriented. You'll work fully remote with equipment provided and flexible scheduling options (5-day 8-hour weeks or 4-day 10-hour weeks). The company will pay for your P&C insurance license if you don't already have one.
Ideal candidates have prior experience in customer service, sales, or hospitality (though not required), a genuinely friendly and positive attitude, strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and a willingness to collaborate with teammates.
Compensation for the sales path: $19.00–$21.00 hourly plus uncapped commissions. Top performers typically earn $100,000+ annually. Full benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, paid vacation, paid parental leave, and stock options.
