Kaseya is seeking a Release Train Engineer to join the Business Applications Team in Miami. This is a newly created role with no existing playbook or predecessor—you will build the Agile Release Train (ART) capability from the ground up.
Kaseya is the leading provider of AI-powered IT management and cybersecurity software serving Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and internal IT organizations worldwide. The company, founded in 2000 and backed by Insight Partners, manages over 15 million endpoints globally and has experienced sustained double-digit growth.
In this role, you will establish and scale the Release Train Engineer function across the Business Applications Team as they transform their legacy Lead-to-Cash platform into a best-in-vertical solution.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Establish the Role & Practice (Months 1–3):**
- Conduct rapid organizational assessment to map team topology, current ceremonies, tooling, and identify where value is getting stuck (two weeks)
- Define and socialize what the RTE function means in this organization; build buy-in with engineering leads, product managers, and senior leadership (under one month)
- Stand up Program Increment (PI) Planning where it doesn't exist; retrofit or replace existing planning cadences by month 3
**Hands-On Dependency Management:**
- Own the dependency board—actively track, visualize, and resolve cross-team dependencies in tooling (Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent)
- Understand and manage upstream/downstream dependencies, surfacing risks before they become blockers
- Apply the ROAM technique (Resolved, Owned, Accepted, Mitigated) to risks identified during PI Planning and track them throughout each increment
- Work directly in the delivery toolchain—structure work item hierarchies, configure dashboards, and maintain ART-level transparency in reporting
**Sprint Process Consulting:**
- Embed with Scrum Masters and teams to diagnose ceremony health; coach and improve rather than audit
- Serve as facilitator, flow steward, dependency broker, improvement coach, and strategic connector across teams
- Design and facilitate retrospectives, Inspect & Adapt (I&A) workshops, and team-of-teams syncs that produce real process change
- Identify and close gaps between how teams think they're working and how value actually flows
This role requires someone who has built an ART capability before—someone who walked into an organization where the role didn't exist, earned trust across engineering and product, and systematically built the practices, ceremonies, and dependency infrastructure that made delivery predictable. If you thrive on building structure rather than operating within a defined one, this is the opportunity.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Management, or Business
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification; PMP or SAFe® Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification preferred
- At least 3+ years of experience as an RTE in a software development environment
- Greater than 9 years in an agile software development environment
- Proven experience building ART capability from scratch in a growing organization
- Strong facilitation and coaching skills; ability to influence without direct authority
- Knowledge of software development life cycle, testing, and quality assurance processes
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Proficiency with Agile tooling (Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent)
