Revolut is seeking a Senior Regulatory Counsel specializing in Data Protection & AI to join its Legal team in Dublin or London (with remote flexibility across Ireland and the UK). Reporting to the Head of Legal (Data Protection & AI), you will provide strategic legal counsel on privacy, data protection, and AI compliance issues as Revolut scales its fintech platform serving 75+ million customers. Key responsibilities include advising on privacy and data protection considerations for new and existing product launches; drafting and negotiating data protection and AI clauses in contracts with third parties and internal entities; managing complex international data transfers under GDPR; handling data breach notifications to supervisory authorities; maintaining customer-facing privacy notices and policies; liaising with global legal teams on cross-jurisdictional matters; supporting data subject rights requests; engaging with regulators across multiple countries; and staying current on evolving legal and regulatory developments in privacy and AI. You will combine hands-on legal work with strategic business partnership, advising on the structuring and marketing of innovative financial products while ensuring compliance and legal protection. The role offers significant commercial involvement and responsibility for supporting Revolut's continued growth in regulated markets. Required qualifications: 4+ years post-qualification experience (PQE); strong academic credentials and law firm background; demonstrated expertise advising on privacy, data protection, and AI matters in the UK and/or EU; sound judgment and composure under pressure; ability to make decisions with incomplete information; proven track record in privacy and data protection legal advice; some AI legal advisory experience with genuine interest in the field; exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills; experience providing detailed product counseling on innovative, customer-facing products; fluency in English. Nice-to-have: additional privacy and data protection qualifications.
