The Legal, Risk & Compliance team is seeking a Regulatory Counsel to support regulatory matters across the Americas region. This role focuses on advising on regulatory issues relating to payments and financial services, including licensing, money transmission requirements, and cross-border product offerings.
Key responsibilities include: providing practical legal advice to business and control-function stakeholders on regulatory matters; researching and summarizing developments in payments and financial services regulation; partnering with Product Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Risk and Financial Crime Compliance teams on money transmission, stored value, FX, remittance, and card issuing products; supporting new market entry and license expansion initiatives; analyzing payment structures to identify applicable licensing and regulatory requirements; providing clear risk assessments to cross-functional teams; managing external legal counsel and consultants; assisting with regulatory filings and submissions; monitoring regulatory developments; and contributing to government relations and policy work.
