Addi is a leading fintech platform in Colombia serving over 2 million customers and 20,000+ merchants. As the country's fastest-growing Buy Now, Pay Later provider, Addi has recently secured regulatory approval to operate as a bank and achieved profitability. The company is backed by world-class investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Goldman Sachs, and Union Square Ventures.
You will own the design, execution, and institutional development of Addi's compliance monitoring framework for its financial services subsidiary (Addi CF). This is a critical role ensuring the compliance function operates with full structural resilience and independence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and execute the recurring Phase 0 monitoring and control testing plan across active risk management systems (SARLAFT, SAC), delivering periodic reports on schedule
- Independently manage low-to-medium complexity SFC (Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia) requirements registered in SIRI, ensuring 100% on-time regulatory responses
- Lead regulatory tracking and normative matrix updates, ensuring all new regulations are incorporated before effective dates
- Build and maintain an audit-ready compliance evidence repository (PETCD, controls, SFC correspondence) in inspection-ready state at all times
- Lead implementation of the conduct risk pillar once the corresponding SFC circular is enacted
Required qualifications:
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience with SARLAFT, SARO, SARC, SARL, SARM, or equivalent within an SFC-supervised entity
- Operational, legal, or compliance risk experience at a bank, compañía de financiamiento, or regulated fintech
- Working knowledge of Circular Básica Jurídica and risk matrix logic
- Law degree or equivalent legal training with demonstrated risk-first mindset
- Proven track record of autonomous execution in compliance environments
- Ability to design, run, and deliver risk controls, tests, and regulatory reports without ongoing supervision
- Strong documentary rigor and professional discretion; ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
- Formal certifications in risk or compliance (CAMS, CRCP, or equivalent) preferred
- Experience with AI-assisted tools (Asana, Notion) for regulatory process management
The ideal candidate identifies legal and regulatory risks before they materialize, designs mitigation strategies, and approaches decisions from a risk management lens rather than business advisory perspective. You will flag product or process implications during design phases and propose appropriate control frameworks.
