Qonto is seeking a Regulatory Affairs & Project Manager to join its Risk & Compliance department, reporting to the Head of Regulatory. This role bridges regulatory strategy and operational execution within a fast-growing European fintech.
You will manage strategic regulatory projects from scoping through delivery, coordinating multiple internal teams and external stakeholders while maintaining quality and meeting ambitious timelines. Key responsibilities include serving as a primary point of contact for the ACPR (French banking regulator) and Qonto's branch supervisors, building constructive relationships and ensuring clear, timely communication. You'll translate complex regulatory requirements into practical implementation plans, supporting internal teams through execution. Additionally, you'll represent Qonto to external supervisors and executives, adapting complex information for diverse audiences while preserving accuracy and credibility.
The ideal candidate brings 2–3 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs or Compliance, ideally from a traditional bank, consulting firm, or regulated fintech, with exposure to banking supervisors or strategic regulatory work. You excel at bringing structure to complex initiatives, coordinating multiple workstreams, and delivering efficiently under pressure. You produce accurate, thoughtful, high-quality work and continuously seek to raise standards. Strong communication skills are essential—you adapt and simplify complex topics for varied audiences. You're proactive, comfortable in evolving environments, and eager to leverage AI and new tools to improve regulatory delivery. Professional French is required for external interactions.
You'll join a team of 15+ regulatory professionals within Risk & Compliance, learning from specialists across banking regulation, product governance, supervisory engagement, licensing, internal governance, data protection, and regulatory reporting. The role offers meaningful ownership from day one, direct exposure to banking supervisors and senior leadership, and a European, cross-functional scope.
