Classiq Technologies is seeking a Regional Sales Director to establish the company's commercial leadership in Italy and drive enterprise adoption of its quantum computing platform. As Classiq's first dedicated sales leader in the Italian market, you will own the full deal lifecycle—from prospecting and discovery through contract closure—targeting Fortune 500 enterprises, government initiatives, research organizations, and industry partners.
You will navigate complex buying organizations involving Chief Scientists, CTOs, CDOs, CIOs, and C-suite economic buyers. Your responsibilities include leading executive-level discovery conversations that surface business problems quantum computing can solve, often before buyers have framed challenges in quantum terms. You'll manage multi-stakeholder sales processes typically spanning 3–6 months, working collaboratively with product, pre-sales, customer success, marketing, and legal teams.
Beyond closing deals, you will contribute to territory strategy development, vertical messaging, and competitive positioning. You'll represent Classiq at key industry events including The Economist's Commercializing Quantum conference and Quantum.Tech Italy, establishing yourself as a credible voice in the quantum ecosystem. You'll build and maintain an accurate pipeline with rigorous qualification discipline, positioning Classiq as a long-term strategic partner rather than a point solution.
Required qualifications include 5+ years of enterprise and/or ecosystem software sales with a track record of winning $200K+ ACV deals. You must demonstrate successful selling into Fortune 500 enterprises with specific named logos and documented results. Experience selling deep tech SaaS solutions and emerging/pre-mainstream categories where you created buyer understanding is essential. You must credibly engage technical buyers—engineers, scientists, and PhD-level decision-makers—while managing multi-stakeholder deals involving both technical champions and economic buyers at VP/C-suite levels.
Bonus qualifications include a technical degree and MBA, experience building new enterprise software categories, deep familiarity with target verticals (chemicals & materials, advanced manufacturing, healthcare & life sciences, financial services, aerospace & defense), quota attainment history north of $2M ARR, and background in quantum computing, advanced simulation, EDA tools, HPC, or AI/ML infrastructure during pre-mainstream phases. Excellent English and comfort in fast-moving startup environments required.
