Allica Bank is the UK's fastest-growing fintech firm, focused on serving established SMEs with working capital solutions. The Growth Finance division provides facility sizes between £1m-£10m to established UK businesses.
As Regional Lead for ABL Origination, you will drive the generation of Growth Finance opportunities to meet and exceed portfolio asset and income forecasts. You will assess new business opportunities, identify risks and mitigants, and present credit submissions to inform balanced decision-making. The role includes developing and maintaining a portfolio of professional introducers (corporate finance and debt advisory professionals, specialist brokers) and building the bank's profile in your region.
Key responsibilities:
- Contribute to new business volume and income targets based on individual goals
- Ensure all relevant information, risks, and mitigants are considered in opportunity assessment
- Develop and maintain an introducer base of corporate finance and debt advisory professionals
- Collaborate across Growth Finance and the wider bank to ensure cohesive regional market approach
- Work with all areas of Allica to deliver seamless customer service and provide direction on product and software development priorities
- Advocate for the product internally
- Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with mandatory policies
You will work as part of a small, hands-on team in an innovative environment focused on improving working capital lending solutions for the mid-market.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Deep, established understanding of working capital financing in the SME sector, including facility structuring and documentation
- Established network of potential introducers in the Debt Advisory/Corporate Finance community
- Ability to interpret detailed financial information (balance sheets, cash forecasting), assess funding requirements, and model forecast sensitivities
- Experience assessing and monitoring collateral classes (receivables, inventory, real estate, fixed assets) with knowledge of associated risks, mitigants, and controls
- Understanding of operational aspects of business finance, including receivables and Asset Based Lending, with ability to articulate risk considerations
- Strong stakeholder management skills with proven track record of building high-value, trust-based relationships
- Ability to work expertly with customers, colleagues, and advisors on structuring lending proposals and writing credit applications
