8Fleet is a rapidly growing Los Angeles-based technology and logistics company building operational infrastructure for autonomous and non-autonomous rideshare fleets. As the company expands into new markets, it is building out its People function to scale with growth. You will serve as Regional HR Manager for the North region, partnering closely with site and regional leaders to support a large, fast-paced, non-exempt workforce. This role sits at the intersection of frontline operations and People strategy, combining manager enablement, organizational planning, performance coaching, and employee relations with systems and policy management across multiple locations. Drive consistent People practices, policies, and manager behaviors across all sites. Provide hands-on support for non-exempt workforce needs including scheduling, attendance, and performance issues. Support the launch and scale of new markets, ensuring HR infrastructure is in place from day one. Build, monitor, and report on core people metrics (turnover, attendance, engagement, corrective actions) and drive targeted improvements. **Employee Relations & Compliance:** Own first-line employee relations matters with empathy and operational clarity, escalating when needed. Support documentation, investigations, corrective actions, and policy interpretation. Maintain compliance with wage-and-hour regulations, break rules, scheduling laws, and labor requirements across multiple states. **People Operations Partnership:** Collaborate with People Ops on onboarding, data accuracy, HRIS workflows, leave management, and payroll alignment. Surface workforce trends and insights to improve systems and processes. Help identify and roll out People tools that improve clarity, speed, and accuracy across the organization. This is a strong fit if you enjoy solving operational problems, building trust with frontline leaders, and bringing data and process discipline to people challenges. **Requirements:** - 4+ years as a People Partner or HR Manager, ideally supporting large non-exempt teams in a fast-paced startup environment - Strong operational instincts and proven experience supporting multi-location environments - Ability to build process and maintain data accuracy that holds up as the company scales - Experience coaching frontline and mid-level managers - Sound judgment and clear documentation habits when handling employee relations issues - Deep knowledge of wage-and-hour laws, attendance policies, and labor compliance - Excellent communicator, able to build trust quickly across all levels of the organization
