Cohesity, a leader in AI-powered data security serving over 13,600 enterprise customers including 85+ Fortune 100 companies, is seeking a Regional Accountant for its Bengaluru office. This role manages end-to-end General Ledger accounting and supports monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
Key responsibilities include: preparing and posting journal entries for accruals, intercompany transactions, and accounting adjustments; recording bank payment entries and performing periodic bank reconciliations; liaising with AP, Tax, and Payroll teams to ensure accurate GL balances; preparing monthly MIS reports and management reporting schedules; performing monthly account reconciliations in FloQast and resolving reconciling items; preparing monthly flux analysis and variance explanations; coordinating with FP&A teams for accrual accounting; reviewing payroll accounting entries and supporting statutory filings; maintaining the Fixed Asset Register including capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking; supporting internal and external audits; ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements; participating in process improvement initiatives; and building automated reporting and agentic AI solutions using approved AI tools (Claude, Copilot).

REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Commerce graduate with MBA (Finance) or CA Inter with relevant hands-on industry experience
- Experience: 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in ITES/shared services environments
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of GL accounting and month-end close processes; working knowledge of US GAAP and IGAAP; experience in reconciliations, accrual accounting, and financial reporting; exposure to payroll and fixed asset accounting; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
- Systems: Proficiency in Excel, NetSuite, Coupa, and AI-enabled productivity tools. Preferred: NetSuite, SAP Concur, FloQast
- Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; high attention to detail and accuracy; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines; effective communication and stakeholder management; collaborative and adaptable approach; self-driven and proactive mindset; demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and support decision-making
- Preferred: Experience in cost-plus business model environment; exposure to US GAAP and IGAAP frameworks
