Airbnb's Global Operations Recruiting team is seeking a Recruiting Manager to lead a team of recruiters while personally owning complex, senior-level searches. This hybrid role combines strategic people leadership with hands-on recruiting expertise.
You will lead and develop a team of recruiters responsible for hiring across Airbnb's global operations functions (Finance, Legal, HR, Trust, Customer Experience). You'll personally run end-to-end searches for senior and executive-level roles, serve as a strategic talent advisor to business leaders, and own team-level goals and metrics.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, coaching, and developing recruiters while maintaining high performance and candidate experience standards
- Personally conducting senior-level searches from intake through offer and close
- Providing strategic talent advice to Global Operations leadership
- Owning team metrics, reporting, and data-driven insights for stakeholder alignment
- Building cross-functional relationships with Finance, HR, and Operations teams
- Driving operational rigor across the full recruiting lifecycle
- Identifying and resolving pipeline escalations
- Navigating complex offer structures and ensuring compliant hiring across global markets
- Developing scalable processes to improve team efficiency and capacity planning
- Championing exceptional candidate experience, especially for senior-level candidates
- Building recruiting dashboards and pipeline analytics; translating metrics into strategic narratives
- Establishing yourself as a subject-matter expert in operations recruiting
- Contributing to cross-functional recruiting initiatives and representing the team in executive conversations
Requirements:
- 9+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with demonstrated track record leading senior-level searches
- At least 2 years managing and developing a recruiting team
- Deep functional expertise in at least one Global Operations sub-function (e.g., Customer Support, Trust & Safety) highly preferred
- Proven success recruiting for global operations, business functions, or non-technical roles at a technology company
- Ability to build trust and credibility with senior business leaders and act as a strategic partner
- Experience conducting market research, talent mapping, and proactive pipeline-building for senior roles
- Strong data orientation with ability to interpret pipeline metrics and forecast capacity needs
- Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder hiring environments across multiple geographies
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills with sound judgment in ambiguous situations
- Proficiency with enterprise recruiting and HRIS tools (Greenhouse, Workday, Gem, or comparable)
- Track record of building inclusive pipelines and championing diversity
- Comfort carrying a personal search load alongside people leadership; ability to operate at senior individual-contributor level when needed
