Terray Therapeutics is a venture-backed biotechnology company combining nanotechnology, experimental science, machine learning, and automation to transform small-molecule drug discovery and development. The company's EMMI platform (Experimentation Meets Machine Intelligence) powers iterative cycles of molecular design and wet-lab experimentation.
You will serve as the Recruiting & Candidate Experience Manager, coordinating and guiding candidates through a thoughtful, efficient hiring process across life sciences, computational science, and technology roles. This is less about direct sourcing and more about ensuring the right candidates move smoothly through the process, hiring teams stay aligned, and every candidate has a great experience with Terray.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate the full hiring lifecycle from application through onboarding, keeping the experience organized, timely, and thoughtful
- Partner with hiring managers to define candidate profiles, interview plans, recruiting strategies, and personalized onboarding
- Ensure roles are posted and promoted through effective channels and talent communities
- Manage external recruiting relationships, determining when third-party support adds value
- Serve as the primary candidate point of contact, building relationships and keeping candidates informed and engaged
- Own interview coordination: manage scheduling, prepare interviewers, communicate with candidates, and handle logistics
- Gather feedback, coordinate hiring discussions, and ensure clear decisions and next steps
- Coordinate with People Operations and hiring managers on offers, candidate questions, and closing
- Tailor onboarding to each new hire's experience and background to ensure they have context, connections, and resources to get up to speed quickly
- Track effectiveness, identify bottlenecks, and continuously improve the candidate and new-hire experience using data
- Build enough knowledge of Terray's science, technology, and roles to be an effective partner with hiring teams
You don't need to be a scientist or engineer, but you should be genuinely curious about the work and willing to develop enough technical fluency to understand the roles and communicate credibly with candidates and hiring teams.
REQUIREMENTS:
Required Qualifications:
- Experience coordinating recruiting, talent acquisition, or similar people-focused processes in a fast-moving organization
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple searches, candidates, and hiring teams simultaneously
- Excellent candidate communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong judgment and ability to partner effectively with hiring managers and senior leaders
- Experience coordinating interviews, hiring decisions, offers, and onboarding
- Comfortable using recruiting data and systems to track progress, identify bottlenecks, and improve processes
- Highly organized, responsive, and attentive to details without losing sight of overall candidate experience
- Curious and comfortable learning enough about highly technical roles to communicate effectively with candidates and hiring teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in biotech, life sciences, technology, or another specialized talent environment
