Salary: USD 72,500 - 87,000 / annual

As a Recovery Counselor, you will provide clinical intervention to members with Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and mental health disorders in a fully remote, team-based treatment model. You will co-facilitate virtual multidisciplinary groups including shared medical appointments and support groups, utilizing Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques in both group and individual formats. Your responsibilities include facilitating evidence-based psychoeducational, skills development, cognitive behavioral, interpersonal process, and support-based groups; completing member evaluations for program enrollment; diagnosing and treating adults and adolescents; preparing clinical documentation in accordance with organizational and state standards; managing crisis interventions remotely; and maintaining HIPAA and 42 CFR Part II confidentiality standards.
You will work a 4x10 schedule (7:00am–5:00pm CST) with flexibility to accommodate evening and potential weekend groups. Additional responsibilities include participating in supervision and clinical audits, collaborating with the Grants and Research team on evaluations, and meeting daily targets assigned by behavioral health leadership. The role requires adaptability, clinical flexibility to function as both clinician and coach, and a demonstrated commitment to harm reduction philosophy.

**Requirements:**
- Master's degree (required)
- Independent clinical Illinois state licensure as LCSW or LMFT (required)
- Fluency in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI); Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET) training is a plus
- Minimum 1 year of experience providing SUD services in inpatient or outpatient settings
- Capability to manage crisis intervention remotely
- Experience and passion for facilitating groups using therapeutic interventions
- Ability to work independently online with proficiency in Google Drive, spreadsheets, documentation, video conferencing, and secure email
