As a Reconciliation Officer based in Abidjan, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Wave's financial operations. Your core responsibilities include performing thorough bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between internal balances and bank statements, processing agent e-float purchases and partner wallet funding transactions, and conducting daily reconciliation of bank transactions. You will meticulously examine each transaction to verify amounts, promptly investigate discrepancies, align banks with corresponding bank agent IDs for accurate tracking, and record daily and monthly bank fees.
You will also identify and investigate balance differences, support the Reconciliation Manager on various projects, and handle ad hoc tasks as needed. This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet tools (Excel, Google Sheets), and the ability to manage multiple reconciliation tasks efficiently.
The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, plus a minimum of three years of relevant experience in reconciliation or similar accounting roles. You must be fluent in both English and French, with strong grasp of accounting fundamentals and excellent communication skills. The role is permanent and based in Wave's Abidjan office, requiring work authorization in Côte d'Ivoire.
