Salary: USD 128,000 - 205,000 / annual
Affirm's Capital team is seeking a Quantitative Analyst II to join the Quantitative Markets team, which is responsible for structuring and pricing debt funding deals, developing platforms for optimizing funding strategies, and building models to analyze consumer loan performance.
In this role, you will work closely with the Capital Markets team to evaluate, structure, and price consumer asset-backed transactions. You'll develop and enhance capital structuring and pricing models tailored to Affirm's consumer loan portfolio to enable efficient deal execution. A key responsibility is building quantitative models to analyze and predict the performance of Affirm's consumer loans, providing insights to cross-functional teams for optimal funding strategy and merchant pricing decisions.
You'll partner with Capital Markets, Treasury, Merchant Pricing, Credit, Commercial, Product, and Engineering teams to evaluate funding, product, and business decisions. The role requires strong technical skills in modeling and scripting, combined with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to influence across the organization.
Required qualifications include 2+ years of relevant experience structuring asset-backed transactions, forecasting consumer loan performance, and/or building quantitative models. You should be proficient with industry-standard tools such as Intex/Bloomberg and have experience working with accountants, rating agencies, and internal/external partners. Technical skills in SQL, Python, or other scripting languages are essential. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can navigate ambiguity, develop creative solutions with minimal guidance, and understand the broader business context of financial decisions.
