HYCU is a fast-growing SaaS data protection company (Boston-based, $140M VC-funded) building next-generation AI products for enterprise data insights. The QA Automation Engineer role is central to ensuring quality, reliability, and trust in AI-driven systems at scale.
You will design and implement automated test frameworks for AI, data, and application workflows. Key responsibilities include validating end-to-end AI pipelines (data ingestion, model inference, outputs), testing AI model behavior for accuracy and consistency, and collaborating with engineering teams to improve testability. You'll monitor system health, proactively identify quality risks, and define quality metrics and dashboards.
The role requires 5+ years of QA, automation, or software testing experience. You should have strong hands-on skills in test automation, API testing, backend validation, and data pipeline testing. Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages is essential, along with familiarity of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration. Experience with enterprise-scale or data-intensive applications is expected; exposure to AI, ML, or analytics systems is a strong plus.
You'll work closely with developers to resolve defects, contribute to best practices for testing AI-driven systems, and help establish quality standards for a rapidly scaling platform. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strategic thinking, ownership mentality, strong cross-functional collaboration skills, and intellectual curiosity about emerging AI/ML technologies.
