Pluang, a Series A fintech company empowering millennials through accessible investment products, seeks an experienced Public Policy and Government Relations Manager to build and maintain strategic relationships with policymakers, regulators, and industry associations in Indonesia's financial sector.
You will serve as an early warning system for regulatory developments, assessing potential policy issues that could impact the business and developing strategic advocacy plans. Key responsibilities include: conducting regulatory impact assessments and outlining mitigation strategies; designing stakeholder mapping reports to identify and categorize key policymakers, regulators, and industry associations; translating complex financial regulations into clear, actionable guidance for internal teams; collaborating with compliance to ensure regulatory adherence; and managing cross-functional advocacy projects with external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings at least 5 years of experience in financial policy work within government, think tanks, public interest groups, or industry associations. Prior experience as a government official, with Self-Regulatory Organizations (SROs), associations, or financial media is highly valued. You should have a moderate-to-advanced understanding of Indonesia's financial sector ecosystem, with professional licenses such as WAPERD or WPPE preferred.
You must be fluent in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, with excellent communication and presentation skills to translate complex policy issues for diverse audiences. Strategic thinking, creativity, and problem-solving ability are essential. The role requires comfort with external meetings and occasional travel outside Jakarta.
