Legion Health is building autonomous medical care powered by AI, starting with psychiatry. The company has developed an AI-native care-delivery platform that automates 95% of administrative work and recently became the first to receive regulatory authorization for AI to prescribe psychiatric medications. Legion is backed by Y Combinator and has raised $23M+ with $5M+ ARR. You will be hired as one of Legion's first dedicated field sales professionals to build and own referral relationships connecting primary care providers to Legion's psychiatric care platform. This is a ground-floor, quota-carrying role on a brand-new team where you'll help define the playbook rather than simply execute an existing one. Primary care physicians encounter mental health needs in patients daily but lack a fast, trusted referral destination. You will become that trusted resource by building in-person relationships with physicians, medical assistants, office managers, and administrators that convert initial conversations into durable referral pipelines. You will own your defined Dallas territory like a business: prospecting and self-sourcing new practice relationships, running the full partnership sales cycle from discovery through close, and growing referral volume in accounts you've already won. The majority of your week will be spent in the field meeting with clinical and administrative decision-makers, supplemented by virtual outreach and follow-up. Key responsibilities include carrying a referral partnership quota and treating it as your primary scoreboard; running full-cycle sales from prospecting through closing; maintaining clean pipeline and account activity in the CRM; representing Legion credibly to clinical and administrative customers; mapping decision-making units within practices and building multi-threaded relationships; educating providers on Legion's AI-enabled model and its clinical impact; ensuring clean handoffs so referrals convert to scheduled visits; feeding field learnings back into messaging and sales playbook development; partnering with leadership on territory design and scaling; and collaborating with peers to share best practices and troubleshoot objections. You will be successful if you are driven by hitting and beating quota without requiring external motivation; prefer writing playbooks to inheriting them; can earn trust with physicians quickly and move skeptical conversations toward partnerships; treat change and ambiguity as opportunity; are energized by the mission of accessible psychiatric care; and welcome coaching and feedback. REQUIREMENTS: - 4+ years carrying and hitting quota in a field-based or B2B2C role; healthcare, medical device, or pharma referral sales strongly preferred - Comfort and skill in front of clinical and administrative buyers; ability to build physician rapport and move conversations toward partnership - Strength in in-person selling with judgment to know what each relationship needs - Highly organized and analytical; comfortable owning a number and reasoning from pipeline data - Strong written and verbal communication with polish to represent Legion externally - Familiarity with CRM and sales tooling - Existing relationships with provider referral networks are a plus but not required Compensation: OTE range $120,000–$180,000 depending on experience, comprising competitive base plus uncapped, performance-based variable commission tied to quota achievement, plus meaningful early-stage equity. Additional benefits include mileage and travel reimbursement at IRS standard rate, field and provider engagement expense coverage, cell phone stipend, flexible unlimited vacation, comprehensive health/dental/vision coverage. Role is hybrid, primarily field-based throughout Dallas territory with remote planning and occasional travel for team meetings. US visa sponsorship available.
