VOLTFANG is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead grid-scale battery storage projects from conception through commissioning. You will own end-to-end project responsibility for large-scale energy storage installations, managing timeline, budget, quality, risks, and change orders. Key Responsibilities: - Manage grid connection processes with network operators, ensuring compliance with VDE-AR-N 4110/4120 certification standards - Coordinate multiple technical disciplines: battery containers, inverters, transformers, medium-voltage systems, and EMS integration - Oversee construction execution, site management, subcontractors, and workplace safety compliance - Handle permitting, procurement, and contract management with EPC partners and suppliers through final acceptance and defect resolution - Serve as primary contact for customers and partners, providing transparent reporting and proactive communication - Contribute to standardizing and scaling VOLTFANG's project management processes for battery storage - Identify and mitigate risks before they become costly problems You will work in a fast-growing renewable energy company with flat hierarchies, short decision paths, and a culture that values direct communication. Travel to project sites is required approximately 20–30% of the time. Requirements: - Completed degree in electrical engineering, energy engineering, industrial engineering, civil engineering, electronics, or equivalent qualification (e.g., certified electrician/Meister) - Minimum 3 years of project management experience in technical infrastructure or energy projects (battery storage, PV, wind, or substations preferred) - Solid knowledge of low and medium voltage systems and grid connection processes - Demonstrated competency in scheduling, budget control, and risk management - Ability to negotiate confidently with customers, network operators, and subcontractors - Strong decision-making capability under incomplete information; composure in high-pressure situations - Fluent German (business level), good English; valid Class B driver's license; willingness to travel to project sites Desirable: - Experience with grid-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) - Familiarity with VDE-AR-N 4110/4120 standards - Certification as responsible electrical specialist or project management certification (IPMA, PMP, PRINCE2)
