Atomic Invest is a fast-growing fintech company that has raised $55M in funding and provides critical financial infrastructure enabling consumer-facing companies to offer investing experiences globally. The company hosts advanced investing capabilities including ESG investing and multi-currency trading across 60 markets.
You will be Atomic's first Project Manager & Financial Controller, reporting directly to the CFO and the Financial and Operations Principal. This is a dual-mandate role combining project management leadership with core controllership responsibilities.
As the initial project management hire, you will build the PM function from the ground up, including establishing intake processes, prioritization frameworks, templates, and status reporting standards. You'll lead major cross-functional initiatives, starting with Atomic's expansion into Europe, managing workstreams, timelines, regulatory requests, and coordination across finance, compliance, legal, and operations.
On the finance side, you'll own accounting books for technology and RIA entities, run consolidated month-end closes, and oversee corporate tax compliance. You'll design and implement projects to streamline the close process using NetSuite and other systems, enhance accounting policies and controls for a fintech environment across multiple entities, and prepare the company for a consolidated audit within 12–24 months. You'll also back up the CFO on treasury matters including cash positioning, payment approvals, bank relationships, and cash runway forecasting.
You'll maintain a company-wide view of project timelines, dependencies, risks, and resource needs, escalate issues early, and prepare clear status updates for leadership. The role requires partnering closely with stakeholders across finance, compliance, legal, operations, and engineering.
The company is remote-first; however, candidates must be based in the US or LATAM in the Americas timezone (GMT-4 to GMT-8).
