Salary: USD 100,000 - 150,000 / annual
Voyager Technologies is seeking a Project Manager to support the Advanced Programs team, which leads early-stage mission concept development and technology roadmapping for lunar landers, surface systems, and spacecraft. You will define end-to-end mission concepts for NASA, government, and commercial customers, directly influencing the technologies and architectures that drive Voyager's lunar pursuits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop program budgets and schedules for new concepts and designs of lunar landers, rovers, surface power systems, and spacecraft
- Support proposal content creation for mission opportunities and internal development programs
- Contribute to programmatic planning including schedules, resourcing, risk assessment, and budget estimation
- Communicate with engineering disciplines, partners, customers, and vendors to resolve technical risks and challenges
- Build bottom-up estimates including bill of materials, cash flow models, and labor estimates
- Participate in customer visits and technical interchange meetings with customers, supply chain, and partner organizations
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to ensure project schedules and budgets align with mission, business needs, and company technology roadmap
- Run internal early technology development projects and paid architecture studies, managing budget, schedule, deliverables, and customer interfaces
The role is based in Mojave, CA and is onsite. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
Requirements:
- B.S. in Aerospace Engineering or similar related discipline plus 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience (relevant advanced degree may be considered in lieu of equivalent experience)
- Demonstrated experience in project or program management, project finance, and program planning
- Experience developing programmatic content for proposals and external customer presentations
- Experience authoring and decomposing financial and contractual volumes
- Strong understanding of the launch, space, and lunar environments
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual) and eligible to obtain required export authorizations
Desired Qualifications:
- Understanding of full development lifecycle of large complex aerospace systems
- Experience with large NASA or other USG proposals and contracts
- Knowledge of NASA/industry engineering standards
- Demonstrated experience working in agile environments using tools such as Confluence and Jira
- Eligibility to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance
